So as a vegan you of course don’t eat bacon, but you can have days where you are just drawn to that salty barbecue taste that bacon has.
My boyfriend just love hummus and not a week goes by where we haven’t had hummus. I on the other hand am not completely and utterly in love with humus, so i try and vary it a bit from time to time. And that is where this recipe comes from. An attempt to make a different hummus, and i feel like i made a good one:)
Normally we just eat it as a dip, but in my opinion this one is better suited for a tortilla wrap or as a spread on bread with a but of green on top:)
If you do try to make this hummus, I’ll be curious to hear what you are using it for??
But lets get to the recipe:
2 cans of chickpeas (or 500g soaked and boiled)
6 tbsp water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp curry powder
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp tomato paste
4 tbsp lemon juice
2 cloves of crushed garlic
1 tsp sugar
3 tsp paprika
2 tbsp yeast flaked
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend it all till it is a smooth humus.
Serve it in tortilla wraps or as a spread on bread.
